Established in 1978 In LAE, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea and subsequently opening another branch in Port Moresby after a decade, Pacific Foam Ltd is the industry pioneer and largest manufacturer and supplier of Flexible Polyurethane Foam and related foam products in Papua New Guinea. Slowly and steadily we have become a major service provider for curtains and blinds supply & installation and major wholesaler of many other beddings and home furnishing items like bed sheets , blankets , carpets and floorings etc. With two comprehensive manufacturing sites in LAE and Port Moresby we do nation-wide market coverage as well as periodic exports into the wider Pacific region.

From modest beginnings, Pacific Foam Ltd has rapidly grown and moved into manufacturing of value-added foam products, such as spring mattresses and lounge suites and recently we have started our carpentry and joinery section in Lae where we are able to manufacture best quality hand made Kwilla Timber furniture, dining sets, beds and solid wooden doors etc. Over the years, Pacific Foam Ltd has been a leader in new product development in PNG – the first foam and bedding manufacturer, first manufacturer of quality spring mattresses and the only manufacturer in its industry sector with a full national footprint.

Pacific Foam Ltd also has a subsidiary company named as Colorpak Ltd  which is a pioneer name in Flexible Packaging supplies in PNG across a wide range of industry sectors. While PNG was going through some tough economic conditions in recent times, the Board and management consider the Pacific Foam Ltd to be well positioned for growth in the future by meeting the market’s increasing need for aspirational furniture and consumer goods as well as the expected steady growth in consumption of mattresses, pillows and cushions etc as a result of population growth, increasing PNG middle class and an expected increase in domestic manufacturing of goods in the medium term. The Pacific Foam Group is a 100% family-owned business with a proud history over 4 generations and more than 115 years of operation.  And part of a privately held organisation with activities across 4 continents in diverse industries such as metal roofing, steel long and flat products, PU foam and foam products, flexible packaging, trade finance and property investment.

The Group currently employs approximately 140 personnel in PNG and has two distinct but complimentary management teams responsible for its southern (POM) and northern (LAE) operations. The management has a deep (over 60 years) operating experience in PNG.
